Sparsha Infertility Centre
“Dr. Debalina ma'am is like God to me. Conceived after 10 years. Truly thankful to ma'am. She guided from the very beginning to the day of delivery.”
“We were trying to conceive a baby for more than 2 years, visited multiple doctors, did many tests but nothing helped. My wife is a patient of rheumatoid arthritis… Under her guidance we were able to conceive the baby in the first 6 months. We had multiple complications during pregnancy such as placentomegaly, placenta previa, ICP, reduced fetal movement, but with the guidance of Mam and their team everything went fine.”
“Thank you, Doctor, for your excellent care and support throughout the pregnancy and delivery. Your guidance, kindness, and professionalism gave us confidence and comfort.”

Short answers to what the front desk hears every day. More questions.
Who is the best gynaecologist in Kolkata?
There is no single answer, and anyone who claims one is selling something. The right gynaecologist for you has years of experience with your particular problem, examines you personally, explains the options plainly, gives you costs in writing, and is close enough for the many visits that fertility treatment or pregnancy needs.
Dr. Debalina Brahma has practised obstetrics and gynaecology for 25+ years. She trained in Kolkata and London (DRCOG, DFFP), did her IVF fellowship at the National University Hospital, Singapore, and founded Sparsha Infertility Centre. She is rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google by 1,330 patients, and was named Best OB-GYN Icon of the Year (East) by The Economic Times in 2024.
Who is the best IVF specialist in Kolkata?
Judge an IVF doctor by four things: their training in reproductive medicine, whether they personally plan and review your cycle, the quality of the embryology lab, and whether they quote success rates honestly for your age and diagnosis. Be wary of anyone who promises a pregnancy.
Dr. Brahma holds a Fellowship in IVF from NUHS Singapore, trained in infertility at CMC Vellore, and runs her own IVF lab at Sparsha, Madhyamgram. Her special interests are PCOS, endometriosis, low ovarian reserve (low AMH), male infertility and couples whose earlier IVF failed. How IVF works with Dr. Brahma.

How much does IVF cost in Kolkata?
A single IVF cycle in Kolkata commonly costs somewhere between about ₹1.2 lakh and ₹2.5 lakh, depending mostly on how much stimulation medicine you need, whether ICSI is added, and whether embryos are frozen. Donor eggs, PGT testing and surgical sperm retrieval cost extra. You get a written estimate after your tests. What decides IVF cost.
When should we see a fertility specialist?
After 12 months of regular unprotected sex without pregnancy if the woman is under 35; after 6 months if she is 35 or older. Come straight away if periods are irregular or absent, if you have known PCOS, endometriosis or blocked tubes, after two or more miscarriages, or if the man has had a poor semen report. A first visit is a conversation and a few simple tests, not a commitment to IVF.
Does Dr. Brahma look after high-risk pregnancies and deliveries?
Yes. She is a senior obstetrician and looks after pregnancies from the first scan to delivery, including pregnancies after IVF, twins, high blood pressure, diabetes in pregnancy, thyroid problems, previous miscarriage or previous caesarean. Normal delivery, painless (epidural) delivery and caesarean section are all offered. High-risk pregnancy care.
What should I bring to the first visit?
All previous reports: blood tests (especially AMH, thyroid, prolactin), ultrasound reports, HSG or laparoscopy reports, semen analysis, and any earlier IVF or IUI records. Note the first day of your last period. If you are pregnant, bring your scan reports and the medicines you are taking. Couples seeking fertility treatment should ideally come together.
